Charanga Founder

Charanga was founded in 1997 by Mark Burke, a graduate of the Royal College of Music in London, and Paul Fletcher, a computer scientist specialising in educational technology.

The pair were childhood friends and professionally over the past 20 years, they have established Charanga as a world leader in educational technology for music education.

Just up from Brighton pier on the 5th floor of a traditional seafront building you’ll find Charanga’s team of talented, passionate and creative musicians, technologists, music teachers and web developers hard at work.

Charanga is unique in music education because we develop world-class educational technology and we work with teachers to help create modern, attractive music teaching and learning materials.

We believe that everyone who uses Charanga should enjoy every minute of their music education and we want to help every child develop a lifelong love of music and the arts.
